Wait, it’s TODAY?!

Ever realize morning-of that it was your day to bring the snack break dessert and you totally dropped the ball? Well we’re catching it for you with this recipe. It’s so simple that you might even have enough time to make it when you think your only option is that bag of pretzels in the back of the pantry.  You’re only one bowl and five ingredients away from a deliciously chewy melt in your mouth treat. We promise you won’t be able to resist a few nibbles to yourself as a taster.

Balance…like between chocolate and peanut butter…

At Constructive Eating we strive to provide you with the best simple meal ideas, and typically that also means the healthiest! However, we’re all for balance in life. Balancing time between efficiency and relaxation, and work and fun (but hey, our products allow for both at one time!!) is just as important as balancing your little one’s and your own diet! While eating healthy, wholesome, foods should be enough of a reward because it leaves you feeling energetic and satisfied, a little peanut butter and chocolate added on as a treat never hurt. Everyone has cravings, and treating yourself to the occasional sweet is going to just help satisfy those cravings so you don’t go overboard later!

Encouraging healthy balance for your little ones works the same way! Teach them the importance of eating healthy but also about treats, and try not to use sweets as a form of bribery.
